I thought my bike trip was impressive – until I learned what the Tour Divide was.

The Great Basin.

No, not great as in spectacular to look at. Great as in big — really, really big.

This section of the Great Divide has a bit of an infamous reputation. It’s over 150 miles long and is the second-longest stretch of the route without a natural water source. This means you have to pick and choose your campsites wisely, or carry enough water to get you through the long haul.

By now, I am sure I got you hooked on the Great Divide trail and you've probably read up all you can about this trip. You're probably so excited for me that you, yes you, are considering a trip like this for yourself and that curiosity has led you to read about other adventurers who have made this same journey. 

Or, y'know if this is your first time visiting this site, ignore all that and just enjoy the ride (pun intended).

In a condo, far, far away, one man (manchild) prepares himself for the journey of a lifetime. He alone (on a fairly populated trail) will battle the elements for two months with nothing but a bike, his bare hands, and his keen (self-proclaimed) intuition for primitive survival.
